After six years of studies, Natalie will soon be graduating from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis with her Bachelor of Arts in History.
A few weeks ago Natalie and I went to a reception put on by the alumni association at a country club in Indianapolis.
Then on Sunday May 11th, Mother’s Day, we all went to lunch at the Circle City Bar & Grille at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. The food was great. It was a buffet, with unlimited made to order entrĂ©es.
After lunch there was an impromptu photo op outside the restaurant. I’m to blame for most of the photographs.

We then walked via gerbil tube to the Indianapolis Convention Center.
Natalie walked in the commencement ceremony with the rest of her graduating class. She’ll actually receive her diploma in December, when she finishes two more classes.
The main ceremony and the second one afterwards for liberal arts majors only were incredibly boring. There I said it! After watching Natalie walk down the aisle, the most interesting thing for me was the President’s poofy hat.
After the two commencement ceremonies everyone was exhausted and starving, even after the huge meal we had at lunch. Margie had sandwiches, chips, and drinks in the car for the ride home. All told it was a fun and exciting day. We are all very proud of Natalie!
Congrats to Natalie for graduating, and also congratulations to both Quintin and Natalie on the upcoming big day.
